Quitéria

Diners who usually avoid hotel restaurants should make an exception for Quitéria, widely regarded as one of the finest dining destinations in Rio de Janeiro. Chef Christian Garcia creates refined dishes that are as visually striking as they are delicious. The restaurant offers both five- and seven-course tasting menus, along with an excellent à la carte selection, highlighting Brazilian ingredients such as pirarucu, jiló, and pupunha.

A standout dish is the exceptionally tender prime rib, served with an intensely rich ossobuco and port jus—so concentrated and flavorful that diners may be tempted to savor every last drop with a spoon.

What truly sets Quitéria apart is its rare balance in Rio: consistently excellent fine dining at a surprisingly accessible price. While the restaurant’s elegant design often draws attention, it is the outstanding cuisine and remarkable value that leave the most lasting impression.
