The cataplana is a special utensil that is shaped like a clam and used to make this very rich and flavourful, traditional Portuguese stew. Loads and loads of delicious goodies from the sea simmered in a broth of tomatoes, onions and wine. A very delicious dish indeed, and a must try at this restaurant.
