These incredibly good runner beans are a long-time popular dish in Lisbon. Deep fried in a tempura batter (the Portuguese introduced tempura to the Japanese in the 16th century), this kiosk in Mercado da Ribeira is famous for its steaks. But my favorite dish is this amazing peixinhos da horta (literally little fish from the garden) with onion and brown mustard. It is crispy, light and delicious.
